The first day of Summer

Yesterday was the official first day of Summer. It also marks 4 months of my being here Right now, in Okinawa, we'd be dealing with the summer typhoon season. Good surfing, lots of rain, tourists, and even more rain. Yet here, the skies are perfectly clear. As are all military radio frequencies.

Oh! Hi! I was going to send you a message, but I think I'll reply here instead! ^_^

Summer typhoons are coming. Although I think they're called hurricanes in these parts. I'm thinking it might not be a bad idea if we were to stockpile some food for when that happens as it will be hard to gather fruit and stuff then.

So, I built a smoker! It's pretty awesome, if I do say so myself! I've been smoking fish, but if you could catch me a couple of wild pigs I would really appreciate it!

If you are curious about what might be the benefit to you...I have one word: Bacon ^_^ I am more than happy to pop over to your place to talk about it, if you want! Or you could come over and I'll show you the smoker and the dried food stores I'm putting up. Oh! And I've made my own mint tea! Want some?

I see. Well, I'll be safe. As for smokers, I also know how to make a pit for pigs in the sand. I'll hunt, you make bacon. It's win win.
