"We're going. Now." She didn't even give him time to respond to it, she just turned and started across the beach for the secluded area they always used for their little spars. She wasn't sure if she was feeling better or worse from that conversation, but she knew she wanted to hit something. She wanted to hit something hard.
She yanked her shirt off over her head and tossed it to the ground, her sports bra on underneath. It was anything he hadn't seen before.
And she continued across the beach, certain that he would be behind her.

He knew there was more to this than just a simple wanting to spar, but he also knew that trying to get Fiona to talk about it before she was ready had painful repercussions. So he did as he was told, stripping down to his undershirt and following her lead to wherever they were going without a word.

He pushed off of the door and started for the bed. He knew it probably wouldn't take long for Jess to make her way back home, but he wasn't even thinking about it. He wasn't thinking about what to tell her had happened, or wondering what she was going to say about it. There was just too much. Too much in his head at once, zeroing it all out all together.
He sat down and slowly dropped his head into his hands. His life was never not going to be complicated, no matter how far from it he got.
