There has been a question on my mind for some time now. I have been spending some time to myself wondering if it was worth voicing, but I decided that keeping it to myself would only be unhealthy. So, I ask...

How many of you are familiar with the legend of King Arthur?

King Arthur? [Thiiiinks.] There has been a few King Arthur's, I believe, but I don't think anyone considers their reigns legendary.

The one who became king by pulling the sword from the stone?

Why would someone select a king just because he pulled out a sword?

I believe it was the idea of the magician of the kingdom, Merlin. He who pulled the holy sword, Caliburn, from the stone, would be crowned as king.

But, not anyone could pull out the sword. Many knights and such tried to pull the blade from it's rest, but only a young man managed to lift it. It was the previous kings estranged son, Arthur Pendragon.
