today has been a wretched day. i never should have got out of bed.

well, not all of it was bad. this morning was okay. i played w/ steve-o for a little bit. but that was where the fun ended.

Summers are hard, no joke. Many people (especially freshman) like to believe that they're going home to relax and enjoy a stress free time. What they don't realize is that they don't have the same relationships with their friends from highschool/at home and are moving away from their main support structures (their friends at college). They also typically end up working hard jobs for spending money over the summer, while not seeing the same kind of fun/social pay off that they experience on the weekends during the school year. Unless they are caudled completely, most people soon realize that they don't like summer at all

I should say hellacious "at times" instead of just hellacious. I had alot of fun hanging out with Eli and Hippy that summer, made a new best friend, and had some really good times to offset some of the bad ones.

I guess you just have to take the good with the bad ("the facts of life...the facts of life!"), and look forward to the fall no matter what it holds.

Yeah, I agree with Nick. Summers are shit. I cried when I left for this break, granted I was going through a big emotional spell, but you'll have that. Anyway, Allison and I are coming up tomorrow and leaving Sunday evening because we're sick of Charleston. If you want to hang out, I'll i/m you my cell or you can give me yours.
