IKEA Outing

Robert, Michelle, and I headed over to IKEA last night for some after work shopping.  We made it there in pretty good time, considering the 495 beltway is always pretty hellish.  Our first stop was the restaurant to hit up some yummy Swedish Meatballs, because no IKEA trip would be complete without Swedish Meatballs.  After filling our bellies with ( Read more... )

Although, you are so right. Furniture from Ikea is awful (except for things like dressers and stuff like that, I think....) But, I love the "basement" section with all of the odds and ends you decorate with. OMG I love Ikea! Jason loathes it, though. Alas...

lol, I remember that was one of the first things that Diah had said, "he hates IKEA." I was like, "WHAT, is he a dumbass or something?" I am still awaiting the answer, ha ha ha... juuuusssst kidding, you know I love ya Ja!

I all so made a stop at Ikea this weekend. I agree not the best quality but great for odds and ends:)

yes, they have some cute odds and ends pieces, but I prefer things that have "character." Not to say that some IKEA stuff doesn't have character, and I certainly have IKEA pieces, but I love more antique-y type things. It doesn't even have to be an antique, I just like things that are different and something that not everyone would have. That's why I love thrift stores and the like. Like they say, "one man's trash is another man's treasure," but Michelle will argue that I am just cheap, lol.
