(no subject)
Hey...it's 9:03 in the morning, and I'm not at work. Woo-hoo!
I'm going back to bed as soon as I finish writing up this entry.
So, my sister-in-law's baby shower was yesterday, which meant I was up at the ass crack of dawn (OK, so it was 10:00, but I wanna sleep LATE on Sunday's!!!) I got dressed, did my hair and make-up, fought with my sister because she was wearing this really crappy bra, and I told her flat out what I thought of it. So she changed. Hehe. My mother, sister, and I stopped for gas once, and three times we had to pull over because the gifts (there were TONS) kept falling off the seats. So I had to half-stand half-sit in the van because since I was in the backseat, I got to have the privelege of making sure the gifts didn't break. Yay me. I was STARVING (shut up, you) by the time we got to the restaurant, so I ran to the deli and got bagels for me and my sister. The guy that was helping us all set up kept checking me and my sister out, and asked us twice if we were twins. WTF man?! We're 12 1/2 years apart, and she's taller, and we look nothing alike haha.
On to the actual shower...I know, you're thinking, "Jeez, finally!"
My brother's goddaughter was there, Isabel. She's 5 1/2 months old. She got to keep me company all day LOL, which I didn't mind at all. She kept crying when her own mother held her, but as soon as she got plopped onto Aunt Chrissy's (!!!) shoulder, she was happy. I even got her to LAUGH! That was the best thing ever. Besides holding her, I mean. I looove having a baby in my arms. I can't wait until I'm done with college and have my own place so I can start having kids. :)
Oh yeah, the shower...
We played Baby Bingo, we all ate salad, our entrees (mine was chicken marsala, which I barely ate), and I hade cheesecake for dessert. :) Yummm! Jessica got an assload of presents, which was nice. A lot of it's going back to the stores though, because she got at LEAST 50 bibs, and about 8 dozen onesies, size 0-3 months. I know she needs a lot, but COME ON, PEOPLE! Babies grow! I took tons of pictures (see below), and then us ladies went back to Jessica's parents house to sort through everything. On the way home, I got a hankering for chicken nuggets, so I made my mom stop at McD's, and I scarfed down a 20-piece in about 5 minutes. Yeah...
