It was fun and didn't require too much actual traveling. San Diego and Malibu are day-trippable, but places I don't normally go in my day-to-day routine. You should take a bike camping trip! But I imagine the weather can be dicey there this time of year! I really did enjoy your tweed ride photos. :)

I totally understand how hard it must be to see a Dear One for a short time and then have to say Goodbye. How wonderful that you had an awesome semi-spontaneous vacation tho!!

I, too, have never seen any gaslamps in that area of San Diego. There are some awesome restaurants. I wonder how much cheaper it is to be there when ComicCon isn't going on...

The birthday party sounds like a riot. I'm sure everyone loved the cake. Cake is, by definition, great. It's cake. Mmmm....cake.
