Yes, indeedy.

I hope some day you come up to Albacon and join us.

We went out for sushi but I think there's a steakhouse nearby.

Thanks for the nice review! I'm delighted you were happy with the purchase. Phew!

By the by, it's pronounced "Oo-knee-keer-ya" if you wan to try to speak a little Finnish. I will just say "kiitos" which means "thank you".

I'm particularly pleased to be mentioned together with Lady Gaga's Bad Romance which is a persistent little earworm and a FANTASTIC video!

Ei kestä, Kate.

I had a hard time finding that phrase:D.

I'll practice that, Oo-knee-keer-ya.

Yeah! Isn't she awesome, Lady Gaga. Brings me back to Sweet Dreams and the Eurythmics.

I could almost dance. Monster's a good song too although it would make the gals in my group blush. Don't listen to the lyrics, Missy. You'll be mortified.

Bad romance is a perfect song for romance writers! That and Alejandro the song that follows it on the Fame Monster. She really sells it.

I must look that book up on Amazon, for my younger daughter who is crazy about everything Finnish. She is trying to teach herself the language, which is not easy, even if there are some similarities to Hungarian.

Hi Sophy,

Ole hyvä. That's another way of saying you're welcome. I found it here:

I looked in Kate's link and yes it's on amazon but maybe you can get an autographed copy.

One of our discussions was how women are often portrayed in fiction as reacting to men. I had to think about whether my characters do that or not. I'm not sure if mine do. But I do know that my main charater reacts to women because he looooooooves them:D

Your daughter will love these. It's great to see a folk tale told from a woman's pov.

Awesome! Both about Albacon and finding a new "love" author, one to sing about and adore :D

There's something very out of self about being with such a group; super. I'd have been right there with you listing to the readers--how fun, all that talent.

Yuppers. I have a set of runes and I'll be doing rune readings next time.

I haven't had a chance to read the other ladies work yet but there was also a vampire expert hanging out with us. I will get to that a.s.a.p. but my hard s.f. reading list is growing longer as one of my fave authors keeps posting about his previously published work that I have yet to read. *rasafrasrasafras*

I'm a tarot girl. Not for anyone else, really, well, I did a reading for my sister and an on-line friend, but I find the cards comforting and helpful.

There; how often does a person ever get to say, "I hung out with a vampire expert..." *sigh* just delightful :)

Yes:o) Not often I can say that. I'm still trying to track her down.

I like runes. Tarot's scary.

Are you going to Ad Astra, WFC, Reconstruction, or NY Albacon?
