For those of you who know who I'm talking about:
As of about 10:30 in the evening (7:30 in Oregon time), I had word that Joel made it through his 7+ hour back surgery. According to the doctors, he came out of anesthesia thrashing around, so we know he isn't paralyzed.
Here's to his next week or so on intravenous morphine!
