So, it seems that my laptop battery may combust if I continue to use it. Does anyone know how to find a computer's serial number, so that I can exchange this thing for a less flammable power source?
i don't know how to find the info for a PC.thesounderSeptember 6 2006, 20:40:32 UTC
if it's a mac: - click the apple logo in the upper left hand corner of the screen - click "about this mac" - click on the text that reads: Version 10.X.X - click on the text that reads: Build XXXXX
there's the computer's serial #
also, the battery might have it's own serial #. i can't check my own right now, as i'm using it for power. unplug the computer and take the battery out (use a coin on the silver circle) and read the text on the battery
