One of my fannish goals is achieved; I've been searched on sgastoryfinders . What, an attention whore? Me? No way. Seriously, though, I've always wanted to be the answer to request there. I feel like a fannish grownup.

Question: If I posted a really long, rambling, confused entry about, say, a sexual incident that happened this weekend, and if it happened to ( Read more... )

Babe, as hilarious as I find your identity crisis, if you're actually confused, give me a call this afternoon, okay? And/or we can do this online communication thing you like so much. Whatevs. I <3 you.

My real answers to the first two questions would actually be "yes, and I'd give you advice", but I could not resist the shiny of a conflicted Sheppard.

Also, you should definitely lock it. This is the kind of thing that bites a person in the butt 5 years down the road.

I think if it's a case of you wanting to make sure no one in RL reads this, then maybe f-lock it. On the other hand, if you're pretty secure that that won't happen, I can't imagine anyone on your f-list will resent your sharing. Especially since so many of us are going/have gone through situations where we wanted support or just feedback from our LJ community regarding something that happened out there in the real world.

Seriously, though, can you *please* illustrate this with a metaphor regarding Sheppard's sexual identity crhsis? Preferably including porn! Woot.

About f-locking it -- I doubt anyone who casually reads our journal will care if you don't, becauseit's your journal, and you have a right to discuss whatever you want on here. Nobody should come around saying, "Oh my God, I was just here for the fic and then I ran across this and I'm so offended," and if they do, they could use a kick in the ass. You get to talk about whatever you want in here, it's your choice.

Of course, if you're worried about people in RL finding it, yeah, I'd definietly lock it.

And though I didn't check those particular boxes, I would love to see you illustrate it with a metaphor of Sheppard's sexual identity crisis. It was be awesome.

Also, you're not alone -- it thrills me when someone searches for my fics at storyfinders.
