Today Art started his road towards getting his MFA. And I started my "class" towards getting a certification in my work. It is such a coincidence that we are both taking steps towards getting more educated at the same time..... and it was not planned. In fact there were many glitches that stood in the way of my classes happening, but at long ( Read more... )

MFA?
Normally at this point folk wish you luck, but I have not doubts that a pair of talented people like yourselves will hardly need my luck. So instead, have a happy time learning.

Art is getting a Masters In Fine Arts. Also, he will be getting accreditation to teach at college and university level. Teaching art of course.

Thank you my friend for your encouragement and kind words.

Oh, please tell me more about what you are studying. I have heard much about Art's program and plans, but I didn't know you were starting a class too. How exciting! I am so happy for you. Please fill us in if you don't mind talking about it.

As I mentioned in a comment on Art's LJ today, I am hoping to get back to school ASAP and I am finding his MFA journey an inspiration...but now I have two inspirations, since you're going to class too! I am supremely happy for you both! I can't wait to hear about all the wonderful things that will unfold for you. Within a year, I hope to be able to tell my own such tales. For now, I will just read yours! (and do my own legwork to see where I want to apply, and what I need to do to make it happen).

Thanks for explaining all that to me. Sounds like a really good move for you!

I really admire the work you do. You must deal with so much! It takes a very special kind of person to do that. I know I couldn't. I am working with the AT-RISK youth, and at times I find it very overwhelming, and you are dealing with so much more. That's quite a feat m'dear. Keep up the great work.

Thank you T. I do not want to do this forever. I am feeling very burnt out these days.

Aloha my friend,

I am so excited for you as you embark on this exciting new leg of your educational and career journey!

Returning to education is a life-affirming experience that I firmly believe everyone should consider. Life is a journey and we must learn all we can to aid and complement our life experiences.

Best of luck! :)
