emily and i just went to the soapbox derby on mount tabor. it was pretty silly in all sorts of ways. an office cubical on wheels, for example, equipped with a desk and a culligan water despenser, rushing down the curvy mountain road. good stuff... good stuff.

drinking ginger beer on the island of kauai, mere steps away from the ocean. life is smiling a big toothy smile at me these days.

yesterday i turned twenty-five and it was celebrated with mystereous flowers, a picnic in a park with a bunch of adorable friends and grassy silliness, a whole drunken pub singing the birthday song, and a topsy-turvey bike ride to the bluff.

it was lovely, all of it... perhaps the best birthday of all twenty-five.

and this morning, water is key.
