Does kicking qualify or does it have to be boxing?

I was specifically looking for boxing, but I don't really mind kicking either if I think about it. I'd just like to make my self defense a little bit better.

I can teach some boxing, but it's my weakest point of defense, kicking I can teach pretty easily however.
