I saw it with the Queen of All 20th Century Movie Trivia and Lock Ness Monsters and she didn't respond as if it was from some crusty old BW film, Noir or Britishishticwaterness.

A lot of bits on Futurama tend to be blended homage, so they don't get nailed for out right CR violations.

It was too long and too carefully set up not to be a reference to something; Futurama makes it pretty clear when they're riffing on another source.

The Queen of all Movie Trivia and Lock Ness Monsters angry says at most she think's it from an old vaudeville act, or just a bad joke in general.

I thought it had maybe come from Animal Farm.

Hmmmm...maybe. Thing is, in my almost-remembering, I'm hearing it spoken, with a similar accent and intonation. Could be from some spoken-word version of AF, though. Gods this is frustrating!

Maybe...maybe something with Cagney in it? Something Black and white, but with different accents.

There's no trivia on the wiki page for this Futurama Movie, yet.
