Last night at work a woman brought in a homeless man who must have been freezing along with starving. I don't assume she knew the man, he's really scruffy and I've seen him around only a couple times. Today an elderly gentleman informed me that for the last 54 years of his marriage he has been giving his wife a card on the anniversary of the day they got married EACH MONTH! Every single month for 54 years! He also told me that the secret to staying married for 54 years is to never have an ego and respect for one another.

I like September. It's when the leaves on trees turn a deeper shade of green before they change colors and fall off. I wrote it on my to do list to make sure I notice this before it's too late. I now reside in Salem, MA where there are at least seven Dunkin Donuts, four CVS/pharmacies and three beaches within a ten minute bike ride from my apartment. I hear seagulls instead of cheeseburger birds and I have to return my soda cans to the store to get my 10 cents back.

In seven days I'm moving to Salem, MA.

Not much to say on this but it makes me outraged that gay couples have such a difficult time adopting children in so many places based on the notion that kids need a mom and a dad.
