In the bridge, klaxons began wailing, and all the panels at the damage-control substation lit up. The main viewscreen automatically informed the bridge crew that there had been a 'unplanned depressurization' on Deck 2. Internal security camera views began displaying on the screen. Fleet operations manuals have said since time immemorial, "In the event of a loss of pressure, air masks will drop from the ceiling panels in affected areas." The masks were blowing in the breeze, well out of reach of the crewmembers writhing on the floor, gasping for air
