to my American friends out in livejournal land. here is an interesting article that notes the number of Americans living with out any type of health insurance

I think the more recent comments are more to the point of the article, and also point out that previous commenters were not seeing the big picture, too. As now one of those Americans with no health insurance, I find the whole situation to be really scary. One of those commenters said it best: health insurance or rent. I know nothing about Canada's healthcare other than what I have heard, and I have heard both good and bad, same as people hear about everything else. Here's hoping Obama can do something, though. They are already talking in regard to healthcare reform. People have to realize though, before knocking him, that our economic situation, including the healthcare issue, is going to take years and years to repair.

I do not know who they know but most people do without health insurance or are able to be on medicaid. I guess I do not know enough rich people.

Is the bottom of all the 'developed countries' in the way that social service issues are done. Such as education, medical etc I really think that this article made it seem nice to live here.
