Watching:

Romance of Tiger and Rose: It's kinda cute? There's a femdom which is not very well developed but it's still fun. It's essentially a light-hearted romance (24 episodes) which plays with some drama tropes enough to make things fresh and I'm enjoying the costumes and being intrigued by Chen Qianqian's braids. I enjoyed the beginning of Tiger and Rose a lot -- it hit all my favorite tropes super well. I'll wait until you're done to say more though haha.

I've finished Tiger and Rose! bar episode 19, I think: for some reason it just wouldn't play on my screen. I'll try again next few days or not: I'm not feeling particularly completist about it. And HMMM. The second half... no, I think the last third becomes a bit weak - the part with the race to be heir is slapstick but not bad, it's the last part with self-sacrificing and the second sister's secret identity and whether CQQ could actually alter the storyline: those parts were only vaguely entertaining.

And the attempted dub-con/rape scene was frankly unnecessary. A scene where he yells and threatens (with plain o' bodily harm, that is) would have been just as effective and would not throw me out of the show. Because I can't see CQQ just letting it go in the next scenes.

The ending was... well, they did the best they could.

I saw someone say to stop watching after ep 16, and honestly... that might have been good advice. I can't think of any scenes that I really would want to rewatch in the latter half either. A lot of the scenes in the second half were kind of... really resolved quickly without lasting emotional effects.

Also, I hated that CQQ didn't have any female friends, so CCC ending up as a villain really annoyed me. Huayuan being quite misogynistic still I can chalk up to CQQ's poor writing skill, but come on, can't there be some female friendship???
