Thousand Autumns, other fics
Finished Thousand Autumns, including the extras, and now I can go back to reading fic, heh. I really like this author's style, I'm finding.
The action scenes are neat, a tiny bit reminiscent of Gu Long, but with a lot more jianghu details that make it so satisfying. The Yan Wushi/Shen Qiao part isn't that subtle, by the time we get to the end of the series, but I enjoy how it IS understated, in that there are no explicit declarations of love but it does have scenes of how important SQ is to YWS, and vice versa. The last chapter where SQ nearly 'flies' (qinggong, of course) across a mountain peak to get to YWS, is gorgeous and just a tiny bit overexaggerated, but I love it anyway. And I love how YWS doesn't let up on his flirting and teasing of SQ, even being grabby - even tho in real life those actions would be plenty objectionable - and how SQ is so soft for him.
I had to laugh at the end comments when one commenter grumbled that there wasn't enough explicit scenes and another commenter suggested going to AO3. And indeed there are. ^_^
