I've noticed that (as a stereotype) guys tend to try and prove themselves to the world (hence the macho complexes), while girls tend to try and prove that what they world wants them to be they are. While I realize that the previous statement is way too simplified and more and more often incorrect (by people crossing 'traditional gender lines'), I thought that it was worth mentioning because I know that myself and at least 2 or 3 other people just don't seem to fit into this model. It seems that when people estrange themselves from society, they tend to develop at 'true' or 'inner' self that feels right, but is often very different from society's expectations. Likewise, people who are very "societal" tend to sacrifice their innerself/beliefs for what they are told to be. ... All a part of globalization

I mentioned you to jamie z today, she was like 'OMG I MISS THAT KID!' lol.
and i miss you too, dude, youre a cool guy. I remember one fun night, you said something like 'we can go to McDonalds after. Its approximately 25,303 miles that way.... which pretty much means its 2 miles that way" (you pointed in both directions lol).
and i also remember (and this is kinda ironic) you asking me on a couple nights how i 'got girls.'
and i really didnt know how to answer haha. look at us now.
When I look back on those days now, I think that those were some fun times (its amazing at how time changes your perception). I definitely remember the "randomly hypocritical again" loop and all that other crazy stuff ... I guess that all of life is perception and I think I've always been living a rather disillusioned life and someone who at least hides their disillusionment seems much better off in social settings (I have a feeling that I'm rambling, so i'll stop), jacob
