[CHAPTER 3] Say It

A/n: a little correction from previous chapter.. Team A is Hokuto, Keigo, Jesse, Yugo and Team B is Juri, Taiga, Shin. Sorry bout that lol i got confused a bit haha
Chapter 3
The whole gym was filled with squeaking sounds of shoes against the gym floors, the sound of the impact when palms hit the volleyball, and some shouts of 'here!' or 'mine!' and a few cry of frustration, resonating in the huge space of four walls. It was an ongoing close fight. Juri mostly takes the spikes for his team. He was up against the other team's strongest at spiking, Hokuto.
In the corner of his eye, he could see Taiga fidgeting in his place. A few times he looked like he would receive the ball but would move away in an instant and he would smile apologetically and say sorry. Once, he did contacted with the ball, but he hit it at the back of Juri's head and he knows Taiga's a hopeless case.
On the other hand, Juri could feel an aura on the other side of the net.
"Shit. It's Jesse." He grunted to himself. Jesse is known to really like winning and he has this tactic to attack the weak. He could see Jesse grinning widely and aiming to a certain person-- Taiga.
Then everything happened fast. The ball flew and it went directly to where Juri thought it would go. He could see Taiga isn't really paying attention. In an instant, he was running to Taiga's side and his purpose was to hit the ball back. He knows he could do it. He's done so many of those last minute position changing in the past.
Alas, the ball was received. By Juri's face. The ball bounces to a stop. Everyone was silent. Jesse had a look on his face that is both frightened and surprised, as everyone else. Juri has this label of being scary when he's pissed and everyone is on the verge of shitting their pants.
He was sitting there for a good two minutes holding his face before he looked up and stared at Jesse with a grin that means you're dead and eyes that says 'You better be ready to see Death'. Everyone shivered and Yugo was patting Jesse's back, partly amused and partly scared for his friend. Jesse's soul is long gone.
All of a sudden, blood dripped out of Juri's nose.
"Tanaka. Go to the infirmary now and-- " the sensei was cut off when Juri said he's fine.
"I said don't interrupt me when I'm talking. And don't tell me you're fine when your nose is dripping with blood! Go." Juri clicked his tongue.
"Someone go with Tanaka." Keigo and some girls were already on their feet to go with him when someone stepped forward and puts a hand on Juri's shoulder while raising his other hand.
"I'll take him." Taiga announced and the sensei agreed. Hokuto looked surprised with a mix of amusement. Keigo looked the same with a hint of doubt and jealousy. But Juri's face is the most priceless.
'What what what. What's with him? Why--' Juri thought but was disrupted when Taiga pulled him along. They walked silently towards the infirmary.
"Lift your head up so the blood would stop. Don't worry i'll lead your way." Taiga assured him while nonchalantly grabbing Juri's wrist until they reached the infirmary only to find out the sensei wasn't there.
"Guess it's up to me. I'll help you. Here, sit." Taiga pushed Juri on the bed to sit and rummages for the first aid kit before standing in front of Juri and putting cloth on his nose instructing him to stay his head up. It was dead silence when Taiga isn't talking.
"So you know where the infirmary is huh." Juri decided to start a conversation amidst the awkward silence.
"Un. I was listening on your tour." He said as a matter of fact-ly that Juri felt guilty at the way he snapped at him.
Awkward silence number two.
Juri was about to start another awkward conversation but Taiga beat him to it.
"It was in middle school that i started not liking sports. I was playing pass ball with my childhood friends but one of them threw it so hard the ball hit my face and i had a bleeding nose. Exactly what happened to you today. That's when i started getting away from P.E. class. Well i guess this year that's not the case." Taiga chuckled, more to himself after his animated storytelling of his fear of balls. He wasn't sure why he's saying all this suddenly to Juri.
And Juri was just there. Blinking his eyes as he half-listens to Taiga's story and half-panicking in his head.
'Whoa whoa whoa whoa, why is he suddenly being talkative?!' Juri thought. He was confused but he couldnt help but feel happy the other boy he thought was gloomy, could also show a genuine smile in front of him.
'Whoa Juri! What's wrong with you?!' He scolded himself mentally as he shook his head to clear his mind. Taiga noticed and blushes a bit thinking he was being talkative.
"A-anyway.. Thanks for earlier. I know you were trying to not lead the ball towards me. And sorry bout your head. You got hit twice. One from me and one because of me." Taiga said apologetically.
"Don't mention it. It was just on reflex anyway." Juri tried to hide the fact that what Taiga said was true.
"But really. You're awesome." Taiga flashed a small playful grin. Juri's heart skipped a beat seeing that close up.
"Your head is hard given that you were hit twice by a ball." Taiga chuckled.
"Oi!" Juri scolded Taiga playfully and whacks him lightly. He felt like a wall has been destroyed between them. Taiga just laughed.
"You should rest until your nose stops bleeding. I'm going back. Sensei might scold me. Jaa" Taiga smiled and turned to open the infirmary's sliding door when Juri called him.
"Kyomoto. Why are you and Ho--" Juri stopped surprised as he realized what he was about to ask. 'Why are you and Hokuto so close? What's he to you?' He decided not to ask. He smiles at Taiga.
"Thanks for taking me here." Taiga smiled widely before he left the room and closes the door.
Juri sighed as he flopped on the infirmary's bed.
"I think the blood went to my head for a moment there.." He sighed feeling confused and light headed. If it's by being hit by the ball or entirely something else, he was't sure.
a/n: AAANNNND THERE YOU GO! it's been a whiiile! I'm really trying to continue this but it think it's really being overly dramatic! and im annoyed xD so i'm going to do a time skip on the next chapter! Also, i has a lot of drabbles and I'll post it soon since arisakjk19 is being nice and writing KyomoJuri fic too and maybe she's getting into that otp too yay!

And today is Taiga's first day to appear as Rudolf in the musical Elisabeth (エリサベ ート). I'm excited to see photos and updates about the show. I actually did watch the musical online. The Korean version, the Western version, and even the Japanese version. And all of them, Rudolf had to kiss Death on his dying scene. And i need a confirmation for that. It's a bit possible since there is a papapic where Shirota Yuu (as Death) was holding Taiga initimately. Aaaah! I hope that doesnt get cut xD

It's Juri's birthday in three days! And he's legal legal in Japan! Aaaaahhh! I hope he doesn't stray and follow the bad boy path of his bro. orz And Taiga doesn't have a show on that day. I hope they celebrate it together, i mean with the other members of SixTONES pfft but yeah.
Anyway! That's it. I'm sorry i really suck at writing xD
