7 - Better late then never

The paper inside was blank, and you know what that means, but Mokuren, having never gotten her powers back except for the April Fool's incident, which had come on a single card with a kiches mark on it, didn't know that a blank card was just potent as one which was clearly marked. Besides, she didn't feel any different after touching it. She was just as deaf to the plants and animals of Mayfield as ever.
By the time she got home from work that afternoon, she'd pretty much entirely forgotten the incident, and went about her regular business of tending her plants in and outside the house, and then she decided to practice singing passages from the Kisanado, since she'd been neglecting it in favor of secular music recently.
Thirty minutes later, her houseplants had almost covered every surface of 336 Brady Lane, the lawn outside was about three feet high and the garden had become dense as a jungle.]

Your plants might still be much bigger than they were before, but the farther away you get from ground zero, the less affected you are. You might get away with mowing the lawn and doing just a little bit of pruning.
