Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs takes us behind the scenes of the digital revolution, to paint a portrait of the man at its epicenter. The story unfolds backstage at three iconic product launches, ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac.

I dont like Macs. I dont like anything Apple, so why watch this? DAMN YOU FASSBENDER!

A mixture of Birdman and The Social Network, all the action taking place behind the scenes and everyone speaking a mile a minute about stuff I'm too thick to understand but I sorta do understand.

The performances are excellent with even Seth Rogan doing a good turn as Jobs' sometimes business partner. Fassbender is astronimically beautiful to look at and even manages to look hot in 1980s suits and turtleneck sweaters. How does he do it?? Carrying the film on his beautifully toned shoulders the rumours of an Oscar nom is definately justified as he manages to make a complete shit almost sympathetic. Kate Winslet matched him in giving a frustrated but maternal performance as his business wife and I can see a nomination heading her way as well.

The only real downfall is that each act is pretty much the same. Almost the same conversations in the same locations but in different clothes and haircuts. But the performances hold your attention and amazingly it wasn't too long.

Its a shame that the film pretty much tanked at the box office as its a solid production held together by excellent performances.
