The Hal and Cutler stuff this time around was just wonderful. I just adore Cutler's commentary on Hal, and his own situation.
He likes to make it seem like he’s got split personalities or something (Cutler overheard him trying to explain his “cycles” to Alex), but the truth is that the man he is so afraid of is always there, hiding in the sharp bend of his eyebrows when he flashes those superior smiles showcasing that yes, Hal Yorke is better than you. - Ha ha! Great stuff. XD
They all have monsters inside them, but Hal is the only one Cutler knows who makes such a drama out of it. - I love it when Cutler calls Hal on his bullshit, even if it was just in his own head that time. <3 ( ... )

I know it's rooted in your annoyance with s5!Hal, but I really love what you're doing with Hal here, and Cutler's comments regarding Hal's 'dual personalities' fit with my own headcanon pretty perfectly, so yes.
Looking forward to the last chapter!

Cutler should really move to California and make a name for himself in Hollywood. ;)))
I always meant for Cutler to grumble about Hal's angstiness, but Hal wasn't nearly as angsty in series 4. XD So in a way series 5 gave me better material to mock. XD But yeah... it's still sad that they took this path. :(

I'm always flattered when I can shock someone. XDDD (I remember that I didn't expect them to blow her up in canon. XDD))
like Xander and Harmony pulling each other's hair out in "The Initiative". I LOVE THAT FIGHT! XDDD But I thought that Cutler needed a couple of semi-badass moments. And I wanted to do something bloody and yucky and scary.
I figured Yvonne had to have her shining moment of epic badass. XDD And after Adam's death there wasn't really much left for her. So why not kind of save the world? ;))
It's a measure of how annoyed I still am with Series!Hal that I'm almost hoping he's been blown to Yosemite Sam smithereenies. He sort of deserves it. XD
Thank you so much! <333 Yup, the finale is coming up. XD ( ... )

I'm getting flashbacks to "Lonely Rivers" here. Ehehehe. XDD I couldn't help it. Though tbh, GT is a Cutler ships fest. By the time I was done writing his scenes with Eve, I was already half-shipping them. Plus I half-conciously ship Cutler here with Alex, Rook, Tom, Yvonne... EVERYONE! XDDD
I enjoyed trying to figure out what was going on in his head at any given moment. I imagine his brain was on hiatus. XD Maybe there was some music playing like when you call some call centre and the operator asks you to wait. XD
But I think Hal is being perfectly honest here. As honest as he ever gets, anyway. He is. :)) I think Hal respects Tom even when he's in his evil mode. Even if he says in the finale that he thinks Tom is stupid, etc., something tells me there's more to it. Why would he grant Tom's request and shake his hand and say nice words to him if Tom doesn't mean anything at all to him? XD
A rather chilling observation, I think. Moral of ( ... )
