[Bazett stops in her steps and glares at the man. The previous day, she had run around town singing and making an idiot of herself after a failed attack on the dairy. Then, after the droning had worn off and she was finally allowed to go home, she had spent the entire night chugging coffee and working on her notes to try to figure out the current situation in Mayfield. Therefore, she is not in the mood to listen to any carols.]

I suppose I could for a few minutes, but I'm afraid I cannot promise anything more beyond that. My Christmas spirit is the highest it has been in almost a year!

I'm terribly sorry to hear that. I'm afraid I hadn't heard any caroling yesterday. Is someone else raising money for kids too?

No. It was...let's just say it was a cruel and painful prank. As a result, I no longer wish to hear any more carols from anybody...give my head peace for at least a day...
