[ACTION LOG -- OPEN TO ALL]

Who: Everyone
What: The super fabulous one-of-a-kind fairy tale Ball
Where: King Gai and Prince Lee's 'Castle'
When: 8 pm Saturday (will be up from monday to friday)

Already guests were arriving in the courtyard, and Prince Lee was standing near the doorway, meeting (people didn't know) and nodding (to people he did know) and saluting (to the foreign dignitaries from Sand).

There were tables set up against the walls of the castle, covered in pristine pure white cloths and set with food -- some of the food Lee couldn't begin to identify -- though it all smelled delicious. There was a space cleared outside for dancing and lanterns hung from above on fishing line, and these would provide light when night fell (but the not yet had the sun set).

Deep in his heart, Lee hoped this evening would be successful. He adjusted his green velvet tunic, with nervous fingers and tried not to think of True Love and Princely Engagements and so on. Oh god, duty. Today, Lee was nearly Of Age. Today was the day to find a bride, had said his Father. He stood very tall. The last thing he wanted was for his wreath-of-gold crown would slip down his forehead and clatter loudly to the ground and he would embarrass himself and perhaps (!) his future True Love and -- his Father.

Lee could hear his father, who would always be Gai-sensei in his innermost thoughts, for some reason, out in the courtyard. Gai-sensei's voice was unmistakably robust as it proclaimed to the waiters -- in royal tones -- the benefits of good diet.

It would go well. Surely.
