Hmm, was trying to figure out what to do with the hour minivan van ride back and forth to work while I'm here ... thanks to kita for recommending the Dresden files audio books. Just plugged in Storm Front (which I think and hope is book one) and so far so great. Marsden is terrific and sounds just like I would expect Harry to sound...

Yep, it's the first. Not the best, but they get progressively more and more awesome. I promise, by 4 you'll be hooked. And Jimbo does kick ass.

Seem to recall something about them becoming pretty hot as well --- I am in a minivan with 5 other people, so it is a small concern, although it's dark when when we come home so... ;)

You'll love the series. I've read most of them. Didn't know they came in audio books. Thanks, sweetie, I'll look out for those next time I travel.

This last Christmas we drove 4000 kilometres, and we listened to John Sandford's book featuring Virgil Flowers, 'Heat Lightning.' It was a great way to pass away the miles. Hubby had thought he would get bored with it - there were 9 disks - and he was the one who was asking when we could listen to the next disk.

Happy days.

it's odd really, never done any books on tape before, and I'm used to concentrating on the written word. I find I really need to concentrate in a different way, and it's not that the books are not holding my attention, it's just listening to the words instead of reading them is engaging my mind in a different way..

happy travels..
