This band is sooo good! I think I'm going to start an advertising campaign for them in the states. The Swedish band of my dreams. They encompass all the sounds I could ever wish for in soft indie music.
This weekend was suppose to be total shit starting Friday night, but it went pretty well. MPA districts blew me away when I found out our scores. Straight superiors??? I think the two "State level" judges were stoned. And I saw Patrick for the first time in months! He looks good. No black gothic hair or emo clothes...just normal Patrick. I missed him.
After MPA Jen, Dani and I went to the fair and I met up with an old friend, Octavius. He's a really great guy...definitely an oreo, but that doesn't make a difference ^^! We went on two rides, ate lots of food and Jen and Dani won tons of stuffed animals. So al in all, it was a kick ass night.
Saturday just went by in a workaholic blur sort of way and rolled into Sunday! Ah, Sunday....what a random ending to a work day. A gay guy I barely know, kept me company for the last hour I was working and we just talked. His name is Matt, and he goes to Edison. He lives in Lehigh and plans on writing a short story during Spring break on a detective falling in love with a psychic. He reminds me of a fair haired Mephistopheles with pretty eyes and and soft voice. We swapped numbers and I hope I get a call from him one of these days so we can go clubbin' at the gay bars together.
When I got home, I watched Red Eye with Cillian Murphy and thought, 'I can't hate Cillian Murphy for being such a good villain, even if I tried. He's just too damn hot,' Then, mom watched 13 Going On 30 which was a very cute, tear-jerking, laugh-your-butt-off kind of movie. The day left me to fall asleep in a state of euphoria. Through all of this was a touch of Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse Five. I know the book sounds like it would be morbid and disgusting, but so far I haven't come across a single page that would make me give up eating for a week (although I'm only half-way through).
I still miss Jacob and London.
