This was her third week back at work, and she was finally starting to feel normal again, settled into her groove and comfort zone. Part of that had to do with her complete avoidance and denial of all the things that had transpired between her and Sam. It was a mistake; he didn't feel the same way, and she would learn to live with those feelings by pretending her love for him didn't exist. Easier that way. It was still hard to forget the taste and touch of his lips, but it would fade altogether soon enough. Looking up at him, she nodded and stood up, grabbing her sunglasses and coat and following him outside.
