The weather, when he woke up, was surprisingly clear.  He hoped that was a good sign.  It was a Saturday, and he had plans.  Big plans.  The biggest plans he'd made in years, probably.

It was early, but she roused rather easily. They'd both gotten home at a decent time last night, so they'd decided to watch a few movies: a more serious movie with Gene Hackman, and then something more lighthearted after that one, the movie Big with Tom Hanks. Lisbon had fallen asleep halfway through the second movie, her head pillowed on Sam's shoulder, and she hadn't remembered much of anything until he'd been carrying her up the stairs to bed. Their bed. It was, for all intents and purposes, their place now.

Getting to bed early meant she woke up without much protestation, though she wasn't much of a morning person until she had her shower and some coffee. Still, she blinked the sleep from her eyes and sat up, planting a light kiss on his lips before moving towards the shower.

"I'll be down in ten minutes, Chief."

"I'm not keeping the food warmer any longer then that," he teased, watching her walk away. He waited until the shower started before treading down the stairs, where he spent the next ten minutes pacing with nervous energy.

Once she'd showered, she promptly got dressed and headed downstairs to see her boys: Sam and Bogey. She took a seat, smelling the air appreciatively. Everything looked good, but her eyes seized upon the apple pastries, and she grabbed one, taking a hearty bite.

"So we just doing the Farmer's Market, or are we gonna be out for a while?"

By the time she made it down stairs he was standing still, facing the back counter to pour them each a cup of coffee. He carried them both to the table, the lighter colored one on her side, the straight black for him.

"I hadn't really thought about it," he lied easily. "Except for one quick errand I need to run while we're out."
