This week has been horrible. I vote for a redo. I've been super sick with the flu the whole week, finally getting back to my regular amount of energy only yesterday really, but I still have this lingering cough that's giving me a constant headache and tearing my throat apart and I don't want to do anything - so no Norwescon for me

I am sorry you were not well enough to have fun... and it sucks not having insurance (been there, done that). Drink lots and rest (what the DR would probably tell you anyhow). And get better soon!

we have all had that flu this year. its nasty and she could have gotten it from anywhere. we passed it around the office in March and I was down for 7 days. I don't ever go down for seven days straight!

thankfully I wrapped it around a weekend so I didn't miss that much work, and I worked through the last two days (after the fever finally broke) but still. ouch.

it wasn't the swine flu that I know of. I was never on the "going to die from the flu" list so I didn't get its species identified.

not going to Norwescon and getting rest was a very grown up and mature decision. doesn't that really hurt? it did me when I started doing the smart thing instead of what I wanted to do!

Actually I have most actual things sent to mom's address since my mailboxes are inside my apt complex and tiny so delivery guys end up just putting up notices and things don't get delivered. Mom's is easier.

Thanks for the kind words, I am getting better, it's just taking forever :(
