Requirements & Rules:
An Author/Authoress cannot nominate their own story. You can encourage your readers to nominate your works published on Fanfiction.net, Adultfanfiction.net, Ochiba.net, DeviantArt, Y!G or other sites and forums.
Each person can nominate up to four stories and each story for up to three categories.
It is very recommended for any nominated story to have at least one Beta Reader, with the minimum amount of grammar mistakes. No typos are allowed, therefore after being notified by the committee, please triple check your chapters before confirming participation.
The nominated story must contain ItaNaru as main pairing, and must end with ItaNaru. It is not obligatory for the fic to start with this pairing, but please spare the jury unnecessary headache (might start SasuNaru but must end ItaNaru). Other pairings (yaoi, yuri and yet) such as LeeSaku, SakuIno or LeeGaa are allowed, so side-pairing galore is more than welcome. One-sided pairing is okay as well.
All submitted stories MUST have at least one Beta Reader or at least have a very minimum amount of grammar mistakes. No typo is allowed unless it’s truly unseen during beta reading.
Fem!Naru AND/OR Fem!Itachi is allowed (May: rejoice people since I am willing myself to be tortured -er- available to read the fem! Ones; SOY: -mutters we need Agni for this, don’t trust May’s sanity-). NaruIta and ItaNaruIta are allowed too.
It has come to notice to the INCA juries that some of the nominated fics had some discrepancy regarding characterization of the main characters. Please be aware that if you are submitting a fanfiction containing Fem!Naru or Fem!Itachi (thus the fic won't fall under Yaoi category anymore), the female version of the character must act accordingly to the character's attitude and behaviour taken into consideration that they are a female person. This does not mean they suddenly spurt random hormones, for example, or act like bitches, if (in canon storyline not AU)they dislike fighting or do not want to be ninja, if Itachi suddenly prefers hitting on any random chara instead of training, if Naruto ditches ramen to get a new haircut, if Itachi goes PMS for no reason, or any behaviour that is not considered character wise, or IC.
This also means that changing the name of one or both Itachi and Naruto, either them female or male, is ok ONLY IF it does not alter their characterization
Threesome and two-on-one are allowed. A third person in the relationship has to be secondary one (there should still be more interaction between Itachi and Naruto). Thus one-sided pairings are, once again, accepted (such as Hinata’s obvious crush for Naruto, or Naruto’s crush for Sakura). (May: F-chan is kind enough to lay this in diagraph; SOY: OMC*->Ita->Naru, OMC->Ita<-Naru, OMC->Naru->Ita, OMC->Naru<-Ita are all allowed. OMC->Ita and some vague Ita>Naru in it are NOT allowed).
For WIP stories, they must at least have been updated once since January the First, 2009 till the last date of submission-time with a new chapter; revamped chapters or Author’s Notes are not considered an update.
For finished stories (one shot or multi-chaptered), they have to have been completed in the period between April 7, 2008 and April 7, 2009.
Works belonging to the Jury aren’t going to be put up for nominations**
How does it work?
Fanfictions nominated in time and following the above submission form will be put into display during the Jury’s brain storming and will remain available for anyone to see until the end of the voting.
Voting will follow two main rules. Each nomination vote for the same fic counts as 1 point. Jury’s voting value is 2 points.
Winners will be posted afterwards with eventual comment from at least one of the judges.
Winners of Best Author/Authoress will be declared through eventual poll after nomination. In case of draw, another poll will be created in order to select an overall winner.
Winners will be properly notified with either a PM, a mail or a personal message of some kind.

* AU and AR fanfics have their own separate genre. Even if the story consist of angst, romance, or adventure it still doesn't matter if it is AU or AR.
** Juries are still allowed to be nominated in Best Author / Authoress category. Winners can't be disputed by any means.
*** Winner for Juries' Choice is elected by popular choice of jury. However, Best Author / Authoress category's winner is elected by popular choice.
