This is on a related note, but I just got back from Speed Racer, and I cannot recommend it to everyone nearly enough. In a world where movies have to be these super-serious gritty reimaginings, somebody made a live action cartoon that's just fucking fun and exciting in a way I haven't felt about a movie in a LONG time.

And it's bombing horribly, because people think that a movie that doesn't take itself the least bit seriously is automatically shitty.
