alright, i guess i missed the little disclosure triangle. Still, it seems like it should be a little simpler than that. like, just clicking on the device, for example.

And I've never heard of a manual management mode before. But I still don't see why you can't make simple changes to a playlist that's already on an ipod, even if it is set to sync with itunes playlists.

I don't think she uses the on-the-go thing much. there was only a problem at all because of the OverDrive Media Player that the library uses for downloadable audiobooks.

i'm still not sure about the playlist syncing method...I think I'd like it best if it were one of a number of options: add/delete track(s), add/delete playlist(s), sync a playlist that exists on both the device and itunes. Is that how the manual mode works? why does no one use it, anyway?
