During NHL playoffs it is tradition to grow a beard. It is sort of a good luck thing, NHL players seem to be quite superstitions. At this point I really don't know why they wouldn't have shaved yet though.

I have a beard right now, have had it for almost a year now. People often tell me that I look like an Almish person. For some odd reason it grows like that of a chin strap type, I will likely shave it some time soon.
