Booth reverently spayed his hand over the handprint Parker had given to him years ago. He couldn't believe his little boy was going away to college already.
"This is the last box, dad."
Parker's blond locks were as curly as ever, but his hair was now longer - almost shoulder length. His mom hated it, but Seeley had given up that fight. It wasn't worth the constant arguing.
Looking up, Seeley saw Parker rolling his eyes (no doubt at the emotion he saw).
"It's New York. There are these things called planes, amazing metal tubes that fly through the air."
Parker placed the last box by the door and turned to his dad.
"I was serious when I said I'd call mom. You will not embarrass me my first day on campus."
Seeley laughed and stood up, placing the plaster memory on the coffee table.
"Hate to break it to you, Bub, but Bones is worse then I am."
He picked up the box at his feet and, after Parker picked up his box and opened the door, followed him to the car. Placing both boxes in the back, the Booth boys slammed the trunk closed. Parker turned and flashed his version of a charm smile.
"But I'd rather have my beautiful mom crying on me than some old guy."
Parker ducked and jogged to the driver's side, leaving Seeley smiling and shaking his head as he got in the passenger seat.
