I went back and read the beginning before I read this. Love it. I love the way you wrote it, Booth's uncertainty, how beautifully you explained his feelings during this episode.

And I LOVED this line: "He wanted (needed) her to know that she already had his heart and soul, not awkwardly offer up some trite declaration that she could debate or argue or logic her way out of."

What a beautiful story. I love being in Booth's head, he's such an interesting character. His understanding of Brennan is awe inspiring (cause she's a tricky one!)

Excellent look into Booth's head. His uncertainty and doubt were exactly in character for the way he was after his surgery.

Because if he couldn't remember the things he hated, who was he to tell anyone he loved them?
