A) would probably be my first panic reaction but then, being sane and whatnot, I'd take the approach offered by B) and realise that all was not as it seemed and live happily ever after. Or at least get some bloody closure!
Yes, exactly. Aaargh, I shouldn't have made this post, being reminded of the sheer stupidity of the book today is making me mad about it all over again :P
Surely if you loved someone that much you'd at least know them well enough to realise you'd be able to talk to them, no matter what their situation - even if you as the fiancé had fallen in love with/got married to someone else, upon seeing your ex wouldn't you at least explain to them what had happened? It's not as if you'd fly into a rage and beat them and tell them never to darken your door ever again :P
