is it just me, or does one band usually survive a rock generation, to then never die out. they're like crazy cockroaches in survivability, though i have nothing against most of these bands, it's just that they'd probably survive a nuclear winter and then become the new master race if it fitted them. think about it, rolling stones and sixties ( Read more... )

that perhaps they are some great original awe-inspiring music like the bands you mentioned above out there right now and I just haven't came across them. Take for instance The Ramones and The Clash those bands were never bands that you would see on the top billboard charts or hear on your local radiostation. I have talked to many people that lived through the 70's that never heard of those bands until the 90's when they were embraced by the popular rock bands then. That's why I really want to research some new bands, cause it really does give me a self-satisfaction when I hear a band I have never heard of before and they sound great. You know that special feeling when the hair stands from your arm and you have goosebumps. To me thats even better than all the sex and drugs. At least in my experiences so farr.

I once talked to Dan H. on the matters of time traveling and how I once thought Ben Franklin was really from the future. My evidence was just the rediculous number of things we came up with. Dan said Ben Franklin didn't time travel Madona did. Passing every decade and somehow still topping the charts. She must be from the future or else how could she follow culture. Personally i never liked her music except for the song from "A league of their own". As for a somewhat unknown good band I'd say Dead 60's. "Riot on the Radio" is a very good song.

u forgot to add rap as much as i hate to say but that will never live because as things go only 1 or 2 bands make it out of each decade and rppers die every other year or ust fall out of popularity
i mean everyone thinks that the ities were blurry but who really remombers the ninties or even this decade.

all in all the world is going to shit really fast and no one will remember how it happened because we are way to obsorbed with the fireworks that r the musical politics.

i mean think bout it when was the last time a musical group actually affected anything to do with anything but sounding good

love
alex

ps fuck all music made in the last fifty years greaser is the only way to go unless u can do the pogo
