Alex is currently dealing with her father's illness, adjusting to married life, and dealing with her new, sometimes annoying friend spinner. She recently got an anullment to her marriage with Sully for reasons that she did not clarify.

Amy is Alex's best friend. This year she has struggled more with her substance abuse problem, culminating with getting wasted and sleeping with some random guy. She ended up being okay, and not changing her ways. She pined for sean which led to a catfight with ellie, but recently found herself in serious like with Jimmy. He got back together with Hazel, and Amy went unnoticed and is still single.
Ashley Kerwin

This school year has been a roller coaster for ashley kerwin. She has had many breakups and makeups with long time boyfriend craig manning, though her most recent one seems pretty final. After an episode with her parents, she was forced to leave and move to montreal with her aunt, at which point her boyfriend and her best friend proceeded to make out at her going away party. She struggled with depression while she was away and finally came home, living with and dating briefly her old friend Jimmy Brooks, who proved to be purely an interim boyfriend between craig-ness. She is now dating Jay hogart and spending a lot of time with her best friend paige. However her relationship with Jay has been on the rocks since he has begun struggling with a drug problem. They broke up briefly only to recently reunite and deal with a pregnancy scare with him.

Craig's school year could be summed up in two words. "toxic relationship" He has had things go sour with Ashley several times, interspersed with bouts of making out with Paige, Ellie, and even Marco, which caused him to be briefly very confused. He dated paige, but recently ruined that when he cheated on her with Emma Nelson. Paige dumped him, and he spent a long time trying to prove to her that he deserved another chance. They ended up getting back together.
Darcy

Darcy is often referred to as "new girl". She had a brief moment with Chester, though she is currently single. She is on Paige's spirit squad and known for her bubbly fun personality.
Ellie Nash

Ellie's life has always been difficult. Her mother is an alchoholic, her father is away with a military job, and recently things have gotten worse. She broke up with her live-in boyfriend sean which set off in him a chain of violence and substance abuse. He left and she alienated her best friend ashley by making out with her boyfriend at her going away party in her bathroom. She dated towerz and dropped him promptly when sean came home. They broke up and ellie found herself once again alone. Problems with her mother, moving around, and starting cutting again have all been things that she has had to deal with recently. She is still getting over a short relationship with new guy Pete and finding new much needed friends in spinner and alex. Could things with Spinner be more though?
Emma Nelson

Emma started this year after breaking up with Chris by getting in the middle of his relationship with Liberty. She was a victim of Sean's abuse and sought comfort in her currently closest friend Craig. She is dating JT, which was jeopardized when Sean returned and professed his love for her.Her father "snake" became very ill again suddenly and died. Her mother took baby jack and moved away, leaving emma to live with the Jeremiah's and fend for herself. Her close friendship with craig recently crossed the line when she kissed him, even though he had a girlfriend, which ruined his relationship with paige and turned many people against her. She is also dealing with unwanted affection from Rick Murray. She has had a really hard time with her stepfather's death, and may be resorting to acting out and doing some things she may regret in the future.

The supportive best friend and member of the spirit squad, Hazel's school year has been marked by frequent breakups with her boyfriend jimmy. She is currently single and very good friends with Paige Michalchuk, the spirit squad captain.

Jimmy recently broke up with his girlfriend hazel and moved out of his house to escape his parent's painful divorce. He dated ashley briefly this year but things fizzled when she hurt him and left him for craig. He is still very good friends with Spinner and developed a good friendship with Mr Oleander when he had spinner living with him.

JT's year has been an interesting one. He has been dating emma on and off for almost the entire year, after his breakup with manny, which he thought was over his "package" size but was due to lack of chemistry between the two of them. His friendship with Toby Isaacs went sour shortly after they started competing for the love of Emma Nelson.
