Felt like I should have had a note pinned to me today
So I got into some major trouble in my class today. Totally not my fault though. Seriously why say its a discussion when you don't want differing opinions? Either way... topic was about morality, a person's sense of right and wrong and whether they are something that is internally or externally expressed

That's not right. I agree with your position, and think your professor was out of line.
Go talk to the dean of student affairs. I'm serious. If this class is supposed to be open discussion and this kind of nonsense is happening, the dean needs to know.
And next time, preface your remarks, with 'So, before I say anything, is this another open discussion, or are we supposed to simply agree with you and have no debate at all? I'm just checking what the official position is before I say anything so we don't have the wank we had last time.'
Especially if the dean is sitting in the back of the class...;)
