Too much holiday cheer

I tried to share my holiday cheer with my laptop in the form of a sip or two of hot apple cider. It didn't like it. In fact, in response it decided to go on strike. Completely overracting in my opinion, but it's not like I have a say in how it behaves. I'm afraid the strike may last awhile, and may even necessitate hiring a new one altogether;
