Huge wasp

I just had an enormous wasp in my apartment. I don't think I've ever seen one that big; it must have been 3-4 inches long. I opened a window and sprayed him with Raid, and I don't see him anymore. I have no idea how he got in here or how he left, but I just hope he's gone.
