i would recommend The Importance of Being Earnest; it's funny but also makes you think about some interesting things.

"If you will thank me," he replied, "let it be for yourself alone. That the wish of giving happiness to you might add force to the other inducements which led me on I shall not attempt to deny. But your family owe me nothing. Much as I respect them, I believe I thought only of you"...
..."My object then", replied Darcy, "was to show you, by every civility in my power, that I was not so mean as to resent the past; and I hoped to obtain your forgiveness, to lessen your ill-opinion, by letting you see that your reproofs had been attended to."

in the book there's a whole adorably embarassing conversation where they both explain everything and all the miscommunication. it is all not quite so simply forgiven. but thats hollywood.

i think a big part winning over miss elizabeth bennet is seeing mr. darcy take action to prove his feelings for elizabeth. but its interesting because he never tells her or shows what he's done until she mentions lydia.

i'm sorry this is the world's longest comment...

read the book.

I love that movie. It really comforts me to know that you, a guy, likes it. Kenny, you [and guys like Cameron] give me hope for man-kind.

"Unfortunately, this is not real life. Girls greater ability/desire to hold grudges and remember mistakes, from my experience."

...careful with your generalizations. I'm sorry that you had to experience girls like that. [UGHHH!!! Why don't I have a boyfriend? I'm not like that!]

You need to watch the BBC verison and read the book. Explains a lot more than Focus's movie does. Both are in the house.
