why did you get one? did you get hurt with rusty metal or something? or do people have to get one at a certain age. i really know nothing about them except that its best to get them after being cut with metal...?

You have to get them every 10 years. Free if you have health insurance. I got one in 1997 but I will be 18 in a couple months so the doctor figured I should get one now so that I won't have to pay for it in 2007. That way I won't have to get another one til 2015 and I think that i'll have money by then. Tetanus is an acute and serious infection of the central nervous system caused by bacterial infection of open wounds; spasms of the jaw and laryngeal muscles are a symptom. like lockjaw.
