Changmin knows something's wrong before he gets to the house. It hits him, blindsiding him in waves of anxiety when he gets out of the car.
His stomach tightens as his fingers clasp around the door knob.
The house feels empty and the air is cold.
"Yoochun?" he calls out, sliding his bag onto the couch and waits for a response.
It never comes.
The same paralyzing feeling overcomes him.
He checks the bedroom; most of Yoochun's clothes are gone. His cologne, the one that reminds him of summer nights and his lavender mint shampoo are gone. His shoes are missing and the ashtray he uses on the patio is not there either.
He tries not to hyperventilate but his chest feels like it's seizing inside his body and the air is choking him.
On the table there's a note.
His hands won't stop shaking as he holds it and reads.
I'm sorry.
I love you but we can't do this.
I'm staying with Jaejoong.
Please don't come looking for me. It was hard enough to leave.

I'll never stop loving you.
