[One-Shot] And so to Sleep

Feb 03, 2010 03:17

More happy stuff about nothing and nonsense, I'm on a roll people. Also, I never thought it would happen, but I actually wrote YooSu and yeah, I'm kinda proud of it.

P.S. I am still working on Undeniable Sin, but seriously, the angst muse has flown away and I'm finding it rather difficult, but yes, I am working on it. Promise.

Title: And so to Sleep
Pairings: Changmin/Yoochun/Junsu, Yunho/Jaejoong
Rating: PG
Genre: Fluff, General, Romance
Summary: Wherein there's sleeping, food and a screaming confession of love.
A/N: This originally started as a YunJae as you will see from the beginning, but I can't seem to shake off my bias, so here you have it, YunJae and YooMin with a twist of Junsu.

Jaejoong admits to Yunho he's in love with him during casual conversation one lazy afternoon. They're sitting at the table, enjoying a well prepared lunch Changmin and Junsu cooked after losing a bet to Yoochun the night before. Jaejoong who's been relatively reserved and out of sorts the last week looks over and stares at Yoochun for a good few minutes before the look of determination sweeps his eyes and he takes a deep breath.

Then he says it, out loud, so everyone can hear.

It actually comes out like he's screaming at him.

"I'm in with love you."

Yunho blinks, several times then leaves the table. Junsu's half chewed chicken falls from his open mouth and Changmin keeps eating without missing a beat. Yoochun thinks Jaejoong wants to cry but is too proud and Yoochun, well, he hoped things went a little better for his best friend who clearly wished the same.

"Give him some time," Yoochun supplies the first form of comfort and he kicks Junsu under the table, whose eyes are wide and shocked, obviously lost of any vocal capability. Changmin keeps his head down and eats and Yoochun is ashamed he calls them friends.

Jaejoong nods with a half hearted smile and eats some rice. "Well, he didn't punch me, that's good," he jokes and Yoochun laughs to ease the embarrassment crawling up his cheeks. Jaejoong slides the bowl away and sighs. "I'm not hungry anymore," he mutters and stands up, leaving the table.

When he's gone Yoochun turns on the remaining members. "Really?" he asks them. "Really?

Changmin looks over finishing his meat and grabs his glass. "What are we supposed to say?" he asks when he's finished with his drink and now turning hungry eyes to Jaejoong's untouched lunch.

Yoochun glares then turns to Junsu. "And you?"

He shrugs looking positively torn on whether or not to finish the chicken that fell out of his mouth, "It's not like it was a secret," he mutters and frowns when it's decided he's lost his appetite as well. Changmin refuses to let the uneaten food go to waste and piles his plate up. "I should go see how Yunho's doing," he wipes his mouth with a paper napkin and leaves the table, making a loud fuss as he slides his chair away and leaves them alone.

Yoochun turns to the last one and he kind of feels like yelling but he's more grossed out by the way Changmin keeps shoveling food into his mouth. He groans and decides he should go find Jaejoong and make sure he's not trying to do anything stupid, like hang himself with expensive ties.

Before he leaves he takes one more look at Changmin, still eating, still stuffing his face, as if there isn't a situation of epic proportions happening. "You make me sick sometimes," he frowns.

Changmin looks up, rice stuck to the corners of his lip. "You make me horny," he licks the back of his spoon slowly and Yoochun tries not to throw up.

"Don't eat so fast, you'll choke," he warns and walks towards the only place Jaejoong would escape to.

Jaejoong thinks no one knows where he likes to hide after moments of complete humiliation, but Yoochun figured it out one time when he came back and smelled suspiciously like fabric softener.

He knocks the moment he reaches the laundry room. There's no answer. So he knocks again and turns the knob, it's a common rule, if you don't answer by the first knock, it's free game to enter.

Yoochun finds Jaejoong sitting Indian style on the washing machine, looking completely miserable, shredding dyer sheets into a fragrant nest.

"Did I really yell?" he asks softly, hoping he didn't.

But they all know he did.

"You did," Yoochun confirms and closes the door behind him. He walks over and hops on the dryer, picking at the mess, "and it was like," he licks his lips and takes a deep breath, "really loud. Kinda scary."

Jaejoong flushes mortified and brings his hands to his face. "Fuck me," he moans and Yoochun pats him on the shoulder.

"It wouldn't be a good idea given the circumstance, being distraught and all. You'll probably start crying in the middle of it or call out Yunho's name and then I'll probably start crying," he offers a smile of reassurance but Jaejoong looks even more depressed. "Don't worry about it. He just needs some time to think it over," he decides to offer actual comfort this time.

Jaejoong looks over and stretches his legs out, letting them hang off the front. "He left," he frowns, "like didn't even say anything, just got up and left."

"That doesn't mean he hates you," Yoochun grabs a dryer sheet and takes a whiff, it reminds him of the stack of laundry on the bed. "Junsu went to make sure he's ok."

Jaejoong nods and his shoulders fall a little. "Do you mind? I kind of want to be alone right now," he asks softly and Yoochun understands as he slides off and gets to his feet.

Before he leaves him he hugs him, it's awkward but comforting by the thankful smile on Jaejoong's lips.

In the living room Changmin's laying on the couch, he looks ready to slip into a nice long food coma when Yoochun sits down and lets him stretch his legs over his lap.

"Everything ok on your end?" Changmin asks sleepily through his yawn.

Yoochun picks at the hole in his knee cap and scratches the skin beneath. Changmin squirms. "He'll be fine. Have Junsu and Yunho come back?"

Changmin waves a heavy hand towards the hall. "I think they're talking in the room or something," he closes his eyes and Yoochun shuffles around. Changmin huffs unhappily as he lies on top of him but doesn't kick him off. "Mind the stomach," he mutters wrapping his arms around Yoochun as he falls asleep.

Yoochun thinks maybe sleeping is a great idea.

When Yoochun wakes up Junsu is sitting on the chair watching them. He looks lonely and a little tired.

"Everything ok with Yunho?" Yoochun yawns and sits up, trying not to disturb Changmin who's completely passed out.

Junsu nods and stands up. "He's a little freaked out but I think they'll be fine," he yawns. "Come sleep with me," he reaches out and Yoochun looks at the clock.

This wasn't exactly how he wanted to spend his day off but he makes sure Changmin is still breathing before he untangles himself from his limbs and slides his hand into Junsu's, letting him walk them to the room.

By the time he wakes up again he finds himself pressed against Junsu's chest and wrapped around Changmin's leg.

It's a Yoochun sandwich and he wiggles a lit bit for space.

"When did you come in?" he looks over his shoulder and Changmin's eyes are open.

"Not that long ago," Changmin cuddles against his back and tightens the lock around his legs. "Stop cheating on me," he mumbles and kisses his neck.

Yoochun grins with a shudder and feels a headache coming on.

"This bed isn't big enough for three people," Junsu mutters suddenly and Yoochun looks up at him.

"Stop trying to steal Yoochun away from me," Changmin speaks immediately and tries to pull him away but Junsu catches him by the waist and pulls him close.

This isn't the first time it's happened. But he doesn't mind, it makes him feel special and that's nice.

"He was mine first," Junsu reminds him and closes his eyes again. "Stop being so selfish, Changmin."

"You're selfish," Changmin fights back quite pathetically as he buries his face in Yoochun's hair.

"Both of you shut up," Yoochun tells them and tries to find some comfort on the small bed, between two other men. "Go back to sleep," he sighs and closes his eyes.

This time dinner is in the air when Yoochun wakes up, somehow he finds himself at the edge of the bed and he looks over to see Junsu cuddled catlike around Changmin's chest. He shakes his head at the sight and stands up.

The headache is full blown now and he wobbles on his dead legs to the door.

He's surprised to see Yunho and Jaejoong on the couch together, sleeping, like lovers in each other's arms; he thinks he sees tears glistening on Jaejoong's cheeks.

On the table is takeout.

Being as quiet as possible he walks to the table and grabs a plate to eat.

Junsu appears first, with Changmin trailing behind him, their hands together.

"Don't wake them up," Yoochun says behind his food and they both look over to find Yunho and Jaejoong in the same spot, same position Yoochun discovered them earlier.

"So, Yunho's cool with it?" Changmin asks piling his plate high with noodles, which Junsu begins stealing from when he's not looking.

"Yunho's a big tough guy who doesn't want to admit to feelings he's afraid of," Junsu concludes as he grabs his chopsticks.

Yoochun and Changmin look at him.

"What?" he asks and shrugs, "Yunho's had it bad for awhile," he reveals and looks over his shoulder. "He was freaked out that Jaejoong said it like that, all loud and yelling like," he finishes and eats some rice.

Yoochun glances at the two on the couch and smiles. "That's good," he nods.

"You know, they're probably going to want to sleep together tonight," Junsu grabs a takeout carton and looks inside curiously. "We should make arrangements."

"I think we should sleep in Yunho's room," Changmin speaks up after awhile and Yoochun glances at him. He stops before taking a bite of his food and shrugs. "The bed's bigger in there," he mutters and eats.

Junsu snorts and Yoochun shakes his head.

"I'm sleeping alone tonight," Yoochun grabs a dumpling from Junsu's plate.

"No you're not," Changmin and Junsu say together.

Yoochun blushes feeling wanted. "Why aren't you guys romantic like Jaejoong?" he teases to spite them, "Where are my declarations of love?" Yoochun sits back in his seat.

Changmin actually stops eating when he looks at him and Junsu looks at Changmin. "You want us to yell at you?" Changmin asks curiously and Yoochun laughs.

"We can if that's what you want," Junsu nods clearing his throat.

Yoochun shakes his head and feels his heart sputter at their remarkably serious faces. He thinks they would yell out if he asked them to and that's enough for him.

Yoochun's headache is booming against his temples when he wakes up to the sound of Jaejoong calling his name through a heavy whisper. He groans and squints his eyes against the stream of light through the open doorway.

"Yoochun," Jaejoong's face appears above him and Yoochun shakes his head still slightly convinced he's dreaming, until he hears Changmin mumbling incomprehensibly into his ear. He turns his head and sees his eyelashes fluttering in dreams and when he looks to the other side Junsu's breathing through his open mouth. "Are you awake?" Jaejoong's face comes into view again and Yoochun nods slightly. When he tries to sit up he's roped down by arms and legs.

"Fuck, help me up," Yoochun manages to wrangle out one arm and reaches for Jaejoong.

It takes a few moments for Yoochun to detangle himself without waking the others and he and Jaejoong watch a little amazed as Junsu and Changmin gravitate towards each other.

Trying not to get all swept up in the moment Yoochun grabs Jaejoong and they leave the room.

"Everything ok?" Yoochun asks blinking at the light while Jaejoong guides him to the couch. "Where's Yunho?"

Jaejoong smiles as he sits and Yoochun can feel the excitement strumming through him like electricity. "He's in bed," he grins beautifully, "While you were asleep earlier, we talked. It was a good talk," he nods.

Yoochun grimaces at the pounding of his head, "that's good, I'm happy," he pats Jaejoong's knee and stands up, "I need something for this headache. I think I've slept too much," he mutters. Jaejoong follows him and starts boiling water as Yoochun fills up a glass and swallows down the pain reliever.

"You did sleep a lot today," Jaejoong comments as they lean against the counter tops.

"Just catching up," Yoochun grins and looks towards the hallway, almost expecting Changmin or Junsu to come walking out.

"You hungry?" Jaejoong asks as he's pouring them both a cup of tea.

Yoochun thinks for a moment. "I could eat," he answers and takes a careful drink.

While Jaejoong is setting the last plate down Yoochun hears shuffling from the hallway, followed by the sounds of familiar sniffing. It only takes a moment before Changmin walks in, handsomely disheveled and rubbing his stomach.

"Something smells good," he mutters taking an empty seat beside Yoochun. He leans in and rests his head on his shoulder, closing his eyes.

Jaejoong snickers and looks up at the sound of a loud yawn. Yunho's arms are extended high over his head as he stretches and walks slowly towards the table, pulling out the chair beside Jaejoong. "I woke up and you weren't there," he says tiredly, rubbing his face and smiling when Jaejoong leans in and whispers something into his ear.

They're about to start eating when Junsu appears wrapped in a blanket to his nose. "Why didn't anyone call me?" he whines and sniffs as he sits down and rests his head on the table.

"This is nice," Jaejoong hums after the plates are almost finished and Changmin looks ready to fall back into his food coma.

Yoochun thinks this is how it should've been from the beginning as he looks over them all; Yunho looks stuffed, Jaejoong looks happy, Changmin's struggling to keep his eyes open and Junsu's snoring over his napkin.

And he thinks, maybe it wasn't how he wanted to spend his day off, but it wasn't so bad after all.
