i don't think any kind of vote should have been made with "making history" in mind. i think the only reason it was made was because he was the best choice and it was obvious to people. goofing up and saying there's 57 states instead of 47 is really not important in the grand scheme of things. i'm pretty sure you don't graduate from harvard without knowing there's 50 states. and i'm not against sarah palin because she said some (ok, a lot) of stupid shit. i'm against her because 99% of what she stands for, i don't.
