Who: Gwendal, Shinou, Wolfram
What: Shinou messing with people's minds.
When: Last night.
Where: Wolfram's room
Why: Because Gwen's a lame-o pushover. DX

Gwendal stared at the laptop screen in shock. Is Shinou really there, and had he really hurt Wolfram? Attempting to scroll past Heika’s endless comments, he finally gave up, closed his laptop, grabbed his sword, and walked rapidly towards Wolfram’s room.

Shinou was indeed alive and kicking. Now he could torture the maou everyday and up close and personal. It filled him with such internal joy. Glancing up at Wolfram's door, he wondered if he had heard correctly. If someone was really coming this way. He smirked and leaned back in the chair he was sitting in. More people to torment!! YEY!!

Gwendal threw open Wolfram’s door and indeed saw Shinou sitting on Wolfram’s chair.

“…….”

Too late for backup now, he mused. But the lack of blood and bodies in the hallway were heartening, as was the fact that the room was no messier than its usual disorderliness.

“What are you doing here.”

It was as though Shinou could read the mazoku's mind. "I didn't want the blood to stain." He said lazily. "So I took care of the dead bodies. After all, this is a beautiful palace. I wouldn't want anything to happen to it, you know?" He smiled lazily and leaned back in the chair.

“….”

He couldn’t smell any blood, and he simply couldn’t see the proud king cleaning anything up. Gwendal fought the urge to roll his eyes. After all, Shinou is raised almost to the pedestal of the divine…even if he was a bastard who liked to play around with people.

“What are you doing here, and what happened to Wolfram.”

"I'm here because I'm bored." He said, rolling his eyes. "So stiff, Gwen. Get any more wrinkles?" He asked, cocking his head to the side and grinning. "It seems so. You should really work on that, you know?"

From inside the closet, Wolfram thought he heard voices. ...what? Who was in his room!? How dare they!? No one was supposed to come in here while he was sulking! That would be rude!

Gwendal narrowed his eyes and tensed even more at Shinou’s innocuous words.

“Where’s Wolfram,” he intoned.

"Not sure," he said offhandedly. "Heaven. Hell. Wherever." He waved his hand in an “I don't care” way. "It matters not."

Gwendal gritted his teeth. There was absolutely nothing he could do against the former Maou. So he did the only thing he could - keep talking. Which really was an effort in and of itself.

“What did you do to Wolfram.”

"Mnn. Nothing, really." He said smoothly, knowing full well that Gwendal was at his wits end. "He wasn't hard to deal with." Which was true, considering that he hadn't even seen the blonde. Very easy.

Gwendal moved quickly across the room, grabbed Shinou and slammed him against the wall.

“WHERE IS WOLFRAM?!?!”

…………….Gwendal seriously hoped that he had written out his will, but he can’t back down. Not if his youngest brother is in trouble.

Shinou growled, "Unhand me at once, infidel. I'll tell you nothing, now." He shoved Gwendal out of the way and fixed his hair. "I hope you have written out your will."

Gwendal got back up and drew his sword. Shifting into his stance, he couldn’t help shouting at Shinou. Probably because a physical assault would have been useless anyway.

“WHAT KIND OF MAOU PLAYS AROUND WITH HIS OWN PEOPLE ANYWAY?!”

"Me." He said simply, raising his eyebrow. "Do you really believe you can hurt me, Gwendal? Drop the sword, and maybe I'll spare you....for a week or so." His eyelids lowered dangerously. "I play with you all because you are weak."

“SO HONOR MEANS NOTHING TO YOU?!”

At some mental plane untouched by rage, Gwendal groaned inwardly, wondering what color roses he should have at his funeral.

"It does. I find little honor in yelling, though, Gwendal." Shinou's eyes narrowed, his hand reached outwards. A crazy smile pressed his lips. "You no longer have a purpose, now do you?"

“One finds honor on one’s own terms, whether it be protecting Shin Makoku or protecting your brother!”

"Mhmnn. Well, I guess I'll tell you then, because I have grown bored." He said, brushing off his outfit. "I haven't seen your brother. The laptop was simply on, so I went on. I don't know where he is." He sighed boredly. "Now, I'm off." He grinned. "I suggest you write out your will." With that, he left.

Watching Shinou leave, Gwendal dropped his sword in a daze. He buried his face in his hands and tried not to think of the consequences of his actions. He then sighed and looked around the room. Now where should he start looking for Wolfram?

Gwendal’s eyes fell on the closet, Wolfram’s habitual hiding place when he was younger.

Striding towards the wardrobe, Gwendal opened the doors wide and found within a sleeping Wolfram, still pouting even in his sleep.

Wolfram's eyes fluttered open after a moment or so. He was no longer in his comfy closet, what gives? His eyes focused on Gwendal. "...Eh?" He blinked, "...Brother? Wha?" He was pretty confused as to what was going on. And why Gwen looked so pale....

Gwendal gave a sigh of relief. At least Shinou hadn’t lied about not seeing Wolfram.

Silently, he reached down and hugged his brother.

Wolfram was completely lost. "Huh?" Why had Gwen hugged him? Did something happen?
"....Wha? Did something happen?"

“Nothing. Don’t worry about it.”

Gwendal released Wolfram from the hug and stood up.

“Go to sleep. Actually, go reassure Heika before going to sleep.”

"Reassure? What?" He blinked, "Why would I need to do that?" He pursed his lips, "I'm confused. D8"

“Just go. If you do that, you won’t have to dig the moat.”

"..............Really? ...What's the catch?" He asked, crossing his arms.

“………………………………Go before I make the dimensions of the moat 24 feet wide by 30 feet deep.”

“I’M GOING!”

Gwendal watched Wolfram’s retreating back and decided that he should probably leave too. Go back to his office to write out his will or something.
